Just one way to hide text in text. Simply making text white will reveal the line when highlighted and the line takes up space. The hidden bit here will only show up when copypasted, scraped or read using TTS. ( visibility:hidden; does not work here. )

Long ago when I was a clueless wee lad with a mullet I watched a TV-series called V, and the part with the people in red specifically going after scientists and hoarding sweet water felt a bit strange, kind of like, bullying random architects and stealing rocks. The shuttle crafts were cool though.

A few times recently I've needed an obscure Swedish word translated, both web searches and translation things would give me nonsense. Usually I just go to wikipedia and change the language to get the answer. Now it was "krevera", which ddg says is crevice and google says is demand. Both are wrong.

I want to buy a cheap-ass sewing machine so I can fix up some clothes without hand-sewing at the pace of 10 stitches per minute. The handheld ones only do tailor stitch though. For jersey/knit I need zigsag setting, a ballpoint needle and a bottom bobbin it seems. Going below 120€ seems unwise.

Made a little test. Bleach works to remove/reduce stains on paper (a drawing or like... a mystery brown spot in a book). I dabbed some hydrogen peroxide on with a q-tip and the spot faded to 20%. Will possibly bubble/warp the paper and cause the grains and specularity to misbehave though.

Mystiskt. Sänder klagomål tebaks i tiden.

Traveling back in time would probably kind of suck, especially if it happened several times. Every cultural reference you knew would be impermanent along with anything you did, making everything incredibly disorienting. Who is Arnold? Was he in Zytor Wars? Or is he in that 1-hit-wonder popband BABA?

Looking at this starter set, I think I would have picked different colours. >White and sand merged into the 50-50 equiv. for use on teeth and as warm highlights. >Brown to mouth red. As green and red mixes to brown (sloppy ork pants can be uneven). >New darker cold green for skin hue slide options.

From Warhammer site, 35 dollah set.

Finans was a Swedish Monopoly game with additional economics but the same amount of randomness. This edition has kind of poo typography compared to the older edition. The inlay is baffling. Trays are like 1-2mm too small to fit the cards sideways, and you can't close the lid with money in the bank.

I recapped (x10) the old Freestyle and cleaned the head. Sound better but freq coverage is lacking. The drive belts were strangely still intact, but are slipping/distorted. The 1-sided PCB was a mess with solderblob near-shorts. I only removed the worst. Noname brand (Sportie 3238P), but w. SONY IC.

I may have added a few solderblobs of my own. There's a second dip-8 IC on the back which possibly inspired the number printed on the case.

This image does not show an elephant.

Went to vacuum the attic. Suddenly I'm repairing a wireless ball mouse (which linux handled without a driver), installing an LED in a flash light, and reconditioning a board game (west-germany era), and building a bookshelf for storage out of wood scraps.

The conductive pads needs some conductive paint to get working again. Two of the circles lead to the red light bulb, one to the green. The answer position is always the same regardless of which country sheet you put on. Te pens completes the circuit. There's no ICs in this, just a battery and foil-pcb. "Patented".

The questions are now outdated. Population per car in Denmark circa 1980 or before? Cattle in millions?

So hot I made a fan. This 20+yo fan draws 0.125A at 4.5V, which I think gives it about a day of runtime on 3AA, but it can run on anything up to 12V of course. Had to put trains away as I have no (permanent) space even for N-gauge.

Table fan with variable voltage supply. It's a Dreamcast.

Alright, I just did some image searches and both ddg and google are no longer swamped with pinterest results but seem to prioritize the original source sites. Is this a thing that just changed?

In case you've ever wondered why the eagles didn't just fly Frodo into the volcano, they were busy rigging the black gates for demolition and digging sink hole traps, then patiently waiting for Frodo's signal. The sink hole traps, not in the book, naturally came as a big surprise to the orcs!

Riding a dusty speedway bike might make you look somewhat cool in the apocalypse, but they make a lot of sound that will alert the zombies... who will soon catch up to you because with the terrible fuel efficiency and deliberately minimal fuel tank you likely won't even get out of the city.

If Summer of '69 was written today it would be... Summer of 2011. (Arab Spring & Occupy, Kim Jong Un, Tsunami & Fukushima, Norway terrorist guy, Curiosity launch, Minecraft, etc.)

Managed to actually fix a broken mechanical pencil. It was a metal one so it was just blocked and had some tension and alignment problems. The plastic ones have feeder mechanisms that tend to physically break though. Anyways, that needle in the detachable eraser is a poker for clearing blockages.

I decided to check out the original Flash Gordon comics from 1934 onward, and I have to say, I wasn't quite prepared for how much bondage and whipping there would be. Perhaps that scene in the 1980 movie was on point then.

Nothing make me quit an isekai novel faster than the author deciding to needlessly flesh out just how drab and dreary the MC's original life was by wallowing in it for 2 chapters. And then it's immediately contradicted by some hot person finding MC interesting. What did they find interesting? WHAT?

Found my old telescope. Periscope. Microscope! No object glass so I used clear plastic packaging. Also booted up my gameless Switch and downloaded a random thing: Teravit. A sort of freemium Minecraft/roblox by the C21 guys. Interesting engine with subblock offsets, but the story play is tedious.

1970 or 1980... fairly common in catalogs.Teravit for the Switch
