As far as I'm aware there's only been 2 serious attacks on the US mainland (Pearl Harbour & 9/11) in the last 80 years or so. I wonder if they'd be so warmongering if their military & civilian infrastructures were bombed like they do to so many other nations? (Not saying I want this to happen).

A consolation i take is that Argentina beat us relatively fairly. It didn't come down to some dodgy ref decisions or a 'hand of god' or Simeone getting Beckham sent off in 98 - we just lost cos of our own failures, whether our play or tactically. The team who turned up today won, end of story.

England carry on sitting back like this & i don't think it'll end well for us. They've too much quality up top & eventually you've gotta imagine they'll get the 1 chance they'll need! Then if that happens then it's very tough to go from all out defence to then trying to get back attacking again!
