Really excited to be in Stockholm piloting a potential experiential learning opportunity related to youth sports. Today was photo day which they didn't do when I worked at FIBA, but is really a lot of fun.

I wish Bari Weiss would hire guys instead of reporters so I could see them flash up on screen and say their names. “I’m Rance Mulliniks. I’m Ricky Bottalico. I’m Blue Edwards. I’m Alberto Berasategui. Those stories, plus Dan Pasqua on 60 Minutes.”

It rules that after two years of Trump fully going for it. Indulging in all the worst and most violent right wing fantasies, and failing on pretty much every single front, the outcome is a "modest" advantage for Dems. I really think the 2-party system is under discussed as the root problem.

What I love most about soccer is the places and people it makes me think about. Having enjoyed Curaçao and Cape Verde's debut appearances, I sat down with my 9-yo to discuss newbies we'd like to see in 3030. Got to say Djibouti and talk about my (now retired) Principality of Liechtenstein wallet.

The World Cup Would Be More Fun if it had Lemurs and Arnaud Randrianantenaina.

My nine-year-old son and I thought the coolest thing about the World Cup were the debutants so we picked four new countries we would like to see at the 3030 edition.

I wrote about being at the FIFA World Cup final and the entire sordid scene. I spoke to a few people who bought five-figure tickets. I tried to make sense of the senseless. @defector.com (This is a gift link, but you should subscribe to Defector, the rare outlet that would commission this.)

A WELL-KNOWN VENUE IN THE MEADOWLANDS THAT FIFA WOULD THANK YOU TO CALL “NEW YORK NEW JERSEY STADIUM” BECAUSE IT DIDN’T GET PAID BY THAT STADIUM’S CORPORATE SPONSOR — The grass told the entire story. ...
