The curious case of 𝘊𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘥 & 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘦 85. Faced with buying another reissue of the CD, I opted for the Japanese pressing with a bonus "Perfect Way" mix. Except on arrival, I realized the bonus mix was not on the disc but via download. Hey, at least I got an obi and a postcard of Green. #CDFriday

The debut album from #Doublespeak sounds exactly (and as good) as you would imagine, but I feel slightly unsatisfied that it's strictly cover versions. In order to get original music from them, I purchased a green, old-timey gramophone thing. The bonus CD single is well worth it. #WeekendSingles
I don't recall culling my Arctic Monkeys CD singles but there were only two remaining (along with 3 of The Last Shadow Puppets). All the CD albums were still there. Anyhoo! I'm probably just getting senile. Here they are with a couple of Erasure singles that I missed last week. #WeekendSingles

There's a lot here (everything they released plus additional mixes, radio sessions, etc) but it's a shame there wasn't more output from them at the time. They were such an eclectic group that it felt like there were no limits to what they could do. #CDFriday
The languid pace of much of Mazzy Star's output seems well-suited to the elevated temperatures many are dealing with this summer. I only have their first 3 CDs (I'm happy to hear recommendations on their 4th) so included 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 & 𝘋𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥, which Hope sang on. #CDFriday

But it wasn't easy to track down at that time so I settled for my second choice, The Queen is Dead. I hung on to that CD until this lovely set appeared in 2017. #CDFriday
