Some of us have questioned the goings on at Bolton/Greater Manchester uni for years Holmes, Dwan, Hanslot are all linked to multiple Free School failures that swept the region These people oversaw millions being taken out of the education sector Seems remuneration wasn't enough & they wanted more
I recall Holmes was deeply involved in the Free school/UTC program and had some links to Mike Dwan of Bright Tribe infamy He gave Dwan an honorary doctorate for services to education

My concern with devolution is that we’ll see well organised extreme parties dominate based on low turnout and intransigence We could see a lot of power and funding going to those who shout loudest

This may well impact Local Authorities who are trying novel strategies to identify and register FSM pupils We need proper auto enrolment, not councils looking through housing benefit claims and matching it with pupil databases There are some significant GDPR concerns about these practices
