I read this trend as a signal. I don't really believe this is a player trend born of excitement. It reads as nostalgia trying to beat back the current day sociaital emotion. This feels like self-soothe during stress, combating loneliness, and finding emotional stability.

Gave this a go on 3 runs. I gotta say...good start but also good that this is experimental. There are other games that do this dungeon type mode far better. It's hard, but exciting. That is due to the world of Marathon and the lore, but ultimately you are still shooting robots with little control

This got me thinking, if your house gets broken into and all your physical games get stolen, home owners insurance covers the cost of replacement. If your digital accounts get broken into, there's no insurance that would cover that.

Fascinating to think that in an age where compromised accounts are on the rise and thus your digital library and assets are at risk if you don't have additional means or ways of maintaining access to your items in an all digital world, why would the user trust the system.
