New England forever. One Shirley Temple, please. www.anecdoche.com 🏳️‍🌈

None of the Lulu moms at the toddler playtime at the library this morning complimented my Neutral Milk Hotel t-shirt 😥

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Getting a lot of ads on Instagram for something called the Boston Red Sox. Might look them up and see what that’s all about.

“The coolest band in the world continues to get cooler. There’s no one like them. The live show is explosive and joyful. If they play near you, you have to go. If you don’t have a good time, email me and I’ll pay for your ticket. I am completely serious” Some lovely praise for Perennial!

A bunch of great new songs for you plus I wrote about seeing Jimmy Eat World play Bleed American, the Red Sox are good again, ICE, my stay-at-home-dad summer, RIP Ekko Astral, and a few of my faves from last year.

Happy If I Let It Quiet release day! Congrats @brosaleigh.bsky.social! I’m lucky enough to have been listening to this for a few months; it is excellent. It creates its own sonic universe, a warm, cozy, open world waking dream inviting you to step inside and explore.

I am holding my 2 LP vinyl copy of If I Let It Quiet by Josaleigh Pollett & Crowd Shy in front of some big windows. One record is green and one is a sort of translucent yellow-green. If you haven’t listened yet, what are you waiting for?

Red Sox winning streak ends at 15. Blanchard’s in Allston just announced they’re closing. Tough night in Boston.
