“Brandon, you saw him, for God’s sake.” I try. He ignores me, of course. “Erika, you know you ignore the dress code. You push other people’s buttons.” He says, just as some other minion from some non-lab department wanders past. “You need to follow the rules.” “But he— Jesus, Brandon. He slapped— Oh, what the fuck does it matter.” This is a terrible idea. I rack my brain, desperate to come up with another plan.
