while back home in Germany conservative and alt right crazies like to point to Vietnamese immigrants as a model minority, the netouyo far right types in Japan are pointing toward the same people to make the case for anti immigration policies. I'm so tiredddd
it's really depressing. personally I think my time in Japan is limited. over on X one of the prominent groups being slandered (next to Chinese and Arab/Muslim people) are Vietnamese people. I've seen all kinds of vile comments going viral already. it feels similar to Germany now 🥲

That's the highest figure in this recurring survey running back to 2008.
never in my life have I seen a game being so mishandled like love and deepspace, I was deep deep in the trenches regularly spending (and happily so!) on this gacha game until the company cancelled a new love interest *after* announcing him just bc a loud minority cried over him 😐

am reminded that other than final fantasy i actually did not play single player games that much as a kid and spent a vast amount of time in my youth playing f2p MMO & competitive games despite having ranked anxiety notable titles: gunbound, fantasy tennis, s4 league, flyff, league of legends
every time there's an earthquake big enough to make international news I message my parents to let them know I'm ok because they don't always immediately know where I am in Japan right now anyhow, a reminder I need to check on my emergency bag and confirm all supplies are still g2g...
it's been anywhere between 35 to 40 degrees these past days and I really am done with summer for this year. in my kitchen and bathroom, anything i touch is at the very least warm (my mugs, plates, cutlery), the water that comes out of the tap is sometimes even hot😭
the odyssey (2026) doesn't release until september (on 9/11) in Japan. instead, today the chiikawa craze began and I went to the theatres today at 9am to participate and watch the movie!

well I just spent hours on BG3 struggling against a boss, only to realise after finally defeating him that I needed to finish a quest before entering this area or all the NPCs i was supposed to save die. 😭
