Great to present #funMETANET at #ASLOSIL26! 👏 Some results from @anna-equisuany.bsky.social’s PhD (co-supervised by @cunilleramontcusi.bsky.social & Dani Boix). Huge thanks to all co-authors! 🙌
Today we presented our work on #TraitNetworks and how regional gradients drive their changes from local to regional scales at #ASLOSIL26. One of @anna-equisuany.bsky.social thesis chapters and an exciting work from the #FunMetanet project leaded by @stephi-gascon.bsky.social ! An amazing adventure!
Thrilled to share our new article published in Hydrobiologia!🎉 We found that hydrological connectivity, rather than pond age, was the key driver of community assembly in coastal ponds. Many thanks to the co-authors🙌🏻 📃: doi.org/10.1007/s107... @iea-udg.bsky.social @greco-udg.bsky.social
Fiona Corominas is showing the first results of its PhD about the urban effect on vegetation #GiroNat
@jordi-bou.bsky.social is presenting how the metacommunity perspective can be aplied on renaturing urban freshwater ecosystems #GiroNat
Dani Boix is showing the role of spatial modularity and environmental factors determining metacommunity richness #funMETANET
@anna-equisuany.bsky.social is expaining its PhD mesocosm experiment to study fragmenation effects over metacommunities #funMETANET
Our PhD student, Anna Equisuany, is back in the lab after successfully presenting #SFS2025 results showing that different types of fragmentation impact biodiversity — both taxonomically and functionally. Yes, fragmentation type does matter!!! #funMETANET
