This happened! The first paperback of one of my books that I've had since 2015 when I was with Harlequin/Carina Press, so this is a huge milestone. That's a year and a half of work right there, 536 pages of gay romantic comedy packaged up in this pretty cover drawn by Alex @hexadonis.

The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.

I love driving past railyards (there are many places here in Seattle where I can see trains), looking at the cars from everywhere,, and the gorgeous art. Because it is art. And i'm glad to know that there's a certain respect between the artists and the railyard workers. Nice.

Paging through an old sketchbook, I found these little illustrations from 2023, before I got serious about restarting my writing career and took my old books back from my former publisher. I can feel the need to be writing in these captions, hiding behind my art. So glad I am doing both now.

My spouse is now a citizen so I'm free to share more of my opinions on the Internet. This is absolute perfection. F*ck the stupid tariffs & yes it's Lake f*cking Ontario & Canada was the greatest ally any nation has ever had in the history of the world. Our stupidity is boundless.

I'm working on print formatting for Checking Out the Librarian! I printed the first couple chapters to see how the font looks at life-size. The print version will be 5.5 x 8.5 (and 500+ pages, similar size to Father Material by Alexis Hall.) This is starting to feel so real. #mmromancebooks

There is a player on the LA Queens, Brittany Apgar, who has a limb difference and traveled back to Illinois from receiving her first ever batting prosthetic *today* and is 3-for-3 in her first game playing with one. Incredibly cool.

When I was having a bleeding event after a failed needle biopsy (all ok in the end), the LNP was pressing so hard on my chest that I gasped out, "I've got ribs, don't do CPR!" She replied: "Just be glad I'm not on the table using my knee." Me: "Was that an option?" Her: "It's still an option."

This is astounding to follow. 25 yrs ago I was part of the WAARNG, and many of the people I worked with did this type of amazing work. In their regular life, the were teachers, state patrol, nurses, engineers, all sorts of things. But when called upon, they were heroes like this.

Yikes, the amount of tanker aircraft assisting with the fire in Spokane is incredible - visible are 5 Canadair Scoopers and Super Scoopers, a Boeing 737, a Dehavilland tanker, at least three Sikorsky helicopters. There has also been a DC-10 tanker and now a DC-9 tanker. Just amazing coordination.
