Chief of Staff for Governor JB Pritzker. A continually aggravated Philadelphian making her way in the great city of Chicago.

I fight so hard for this country because I love it fiercely - with all its flaws and all its wonders. We’ve made it 250 years and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure we make it 250 more! Happy 4th of July!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎆🎇🎆🎇

I mean this is insane and ridiculous and all the things. But also it’s just really bad political messaging. Going out and being like “ha ha ha we do like ten Watergates a day now isn’t it a gas” is not going to help you win elections.

JD Vance: "I think Nixon's historical legacy is enjoying a bit of a renaissance, and deservedly so. I joked that if Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12 hours news story. The idea that it took down a presidency is crazy."

My favorite thing about our World Cup visitors this summer - they needed less than 30 days to dismantle the lies Trump and Stephen Miller have told about how we should feel about foreigners. And the American people needed less than 30 days to dismantle the lies this admin has told the world about us.

Parker is right that Mr Bailey wants it both ways. Let me add…anyone who thinks my boss and his team haven’t spent considerable time gauging public opinion on the stadium issue and just how far voters want their elected officials to go in negotiations has not spent much time around us.

I wasn't sure whether this fall was going to be wall-to-wall Darren Bailey ads saying "Can you believe JB Pritzker let the Bears move to Indiana?!?" or "Can you believe JB Pritzker gave the Bears our tax dollars to stay in Illinois?!?" and now it seems like it'll be the former.

Occasionally I pop back into the hellsite to comment on something (keeps the trolls on their toes) and the responses are predictably nutty. They are also basically like “OMG A WOMAN HAD AN INFORMED OPINION SHE MUST BE BRAINWASHED”

Saw 😈 Wears Prada 2 - loved it for the fashion, Meryl/Ann/Emily return, but mostly bc it’s one of the few movies I’ve ever seen that shows women who love their jobs unapologetically & whose stories don’t completely revolve around a love interest. It really struck a chord in this Gen Xer.

Glad that @jbpritzker.bsky.social pitch for Sani-Ties™️ (which I’ve heard 8,000 times) made it in: At Lou Mitchell’s diner…he reflexively shields his mint green tie.”This is my genius business idea for after I’m governor,”he says, describing a tie that unfolds into a bib.“You can get in on it.”

I spent a cold and colorful St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago with Gov. Pritzker and then dig into his progressive policies in Illinois, battles with Trump and a possible path for him in 2028 for @timemagazine.bsky.social time.com/article/2026...

My hot take on the campaign Twitter discourse is that these social media apps have always been bubbles and now Twitter is 5 people who have never run campaigns arguing with each other over the dumbest shit possible while voters are like - hey could you focus on the potential developing nuclear war?
