It feels like magic when I come across something in Cymraeg that I didn’t understand and now I do. A mystery unlocked. I’m still struggling to listen as fast as people speak, but as an American dysgwr, I think I’ve learned a good bit. There’s an ocean of what I haven’t, but mae pob gair yn drysor.

An American in Wales embarrassing us all on Threads. Welsh has *more* vowels than English. And who goes to another country and gets mad that their native language doesn’t follow English rules? As if English makes sense. I would expect an author to have more appreciation for language.

I know I have complained before about my frustration learning Welsh. The problem is not with the language, which continues to captivate me, but with my own brain which won’t soak it in fast enough. I want to swim in this language.

What if we started an army of perimenopausal women to protect our trans siblings? We are filled with rage and can function solely on black coffee and the tears of our enemies. We’re don’t even need violence. We can take folks down by hurting their feelings. Let’s go.

I mean, this is just flat out corruption. It’s blatantly obvious. He’s stealing our tax dollars.

What I’m hearing is that Republicans want so badly to give billionaires tax breaks by taking away healthcare that they’re willing to also risk air safety to do it. That’s how much they want to give billionaires our money.

That’s not what he said. He said the money for Essential Air Service routes will run out but that has absolutely nothing to do with ATC. What will happen is after that first paycheck is missed, and this applies to ALL federal workers, the mental toll of financial uncertainty becomes a huge problem.

Mali Aelwen has come home. Our tiny baby Pembrokeshire Welsh Corgi. She’s stolen our hearts already. We plan to train her in Cymraeg a Saeneg (Welsh and English). She will be so loved.

We do not need to further take from cultures not our own. Cultures with closed practices who do not welcome intrusion. We have our own stories. Our own spiritual and earth based wisdom. If only we will be willing to see and learn. And when we do, we see how it connects us all. /|\

I listened to her, and it’s so hard to respond when it’s just lies. Republicans cut the health benefits of millions of Americans, which will make all our premiums higher, in order to fund tax breaks for billionaires who don’t need it. None of these benefits profit the undocumented. That’s a lie.

I thought seizing the means of production was communist. Isn’t that what taking 10% of a company is? Why do conservatives see communism in providing for hungry children but don’t see it in talking private business? Are they stupid or just hypocritical?

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users. While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.
