Among everything else, I forgot to congratulate @anniechapman.bsky.social for winning the Arthur Conan Doyle society's award for the year's best academic work on Doyle, for her article on Doyle, medical authority, and *The Idler*. I was on the panel and it was a very tough competition.

A free streaming service curated by extremely chill experts who will order whatever you want and give excellent recommendations in a super chill, comfortable building connected to all of your community resources. Impossible to overstate how amazing libraries are.

So much to love about London Tide. The staging and particularly the lighting design were brilliant. What they chose to include/exclude worked well. That said if you don’t like PJ Harvey you might struggle with it!

Took some of our PGRs on a writing retreat on a train today! It was the best. We went to Lancaster and met up with PGRs from the Glasgow campus who did a train retreat too. Can’t claim credit for the idea but it was such a lovely day and I would 100% recommend doing writing retreats on a train!

Beautiful day for one of the highlights of the academic year! It’s graduation today and tomorrow and I am delighted to be celebrating with our wonderful GCU London students. This is what all the hard work is for!

This was exactly the break I needed last night. So silly and fun and now I feel recharged and ready to help students write their research projects today.

The #19thC botanical stereographs at the photography centre at the V&A are absolutely worth seeking out.
