Hey folks, happy to announce that I will be writing a couple of columns per month about the Lynx for Racket. Fulfills a longstanding desire--when I was at The Athletic, they were too slowly assembling a WNBA core staff before branching into team coverage and Minnpost has the very capable Pat Borzi.

LaMelo Ball was somebody the Wolves long thought could be a great backcourt mate with Anthony Edwards and think he can be a winning player, despite public perception. The question was if he’d ever become available. He did, and here we are.

A couple notes on what the Timberwolves really like with Isaiah Evans: Movement shooting, improved on closeouts. They think he can develop into a plus defender as his body fills out given his activity level. Also big fans of his personality.
