LaMelo Ball was somebody the Wolves long thought could be a great backcourt mate with Anthony Edwards and think he can be a winning player, despite public perception. The question was if he’d ever become available. He did, and here we are.
A couple notes on what the Timberwolves really like with Isaiah Evans: Movement shooting, improved on closeouts. They think he can develop into a plus defender as his body fills out given his activity level. Also big fans of his personality.
Dosunmu's deal comes in around $22 million per year, higher than I think a lot of folks thought it might. One thing about the Connelly era -- a few more million than perceived isn't much for him to haggle over if he thinks you're a part of the core long term.
