if you think you want to be president and you think you have a chance, there is literally no reason to wait. no one has ever regretted taking the chance, and politics is filled with people who regretted waiting "their turn"

unsolicited advice to other mid-career folks: set aside a few hours each week to sit down and read new text, or old theory. I'm doing it to prep for my PhD course, and I missed this SO much.
