Some not great news: I was laid off from Evolve Media today. A sad pill to swallow after being there for almost a decade, but a sign of the times. On that front, if any folks in the writing/gaming/sports/marketing/PR/anything world know of any freelance or job opportunities, my DM's are open :)
-Even though it was just added MCU crap, it was still well done and got me going -The swinging POVs and stuff was really awesome -Do hope if they do another one of these it’s Destin doing it, he seems to genuinely get what the Spidey stuff should be about

Playing Halo: Campaign Evolved gave me the itch to play some Halo multiplayer again so I booted up Master Chief Collection and man...it just doesn't get much better than Halo multiplayer Swat is still a special game mode, too.

There's a part in Minions & Monsters where they do the Rosebud scene from Citizen Kane and one of the kids in my showing just yelled out "WHAT?!" during it in the most confused tone
As cool as a speedrun of something like an old Mario game is, watching stuff like Fire Emblem at #SGDQ2026 is really the coolest stuff. Just wild to see how you can bork an entire RPG and get through it
That Argentina/Cape Verde game was special stuff. GOAT survived, but hell of a performance by Verde

Destiny 2 news today sucks. Not only the game essentially sunsetting, but the fact that Bungie seems like it will be gutted shortly after. Really is the end of an era. Hoping against hope they can get to a D3 sometime down the line, but idk :(
As the first Star Wars movie in ___ years? meh As a longer series finale of The Mandalorian? actually pretty good Above all else, was cool to see some puppets and practical creatures in Star Wars again

Man, what the hell? I just played this back at PAX, it was looking so awesome. That makes absolutely no sense to not let Brian keep working on this, he's *the* guy to be doing a game like this. Kudos to him for not putting out a rushed product, though.

For a guy like McCarthy, at least with Oddity, his whole claim to fame was how excellently he handled scares and tension, which makes this one feel a bit disappointing tbh Still scary but way more by the numbers than I would have expected for a movie following something like Oddity

Music biopics as a whole are basically just sports movies now, there's nothing of substance to gain from them, but this one is the most unsubstantial of them all lol Obviously Michael had great songs, and I guess if you wanna just listen to someone else sing 'em, it's worth it

45-win season. Playoffs. The whole media landscape said they would be lucky to win 30 games. Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe laughed at the thought of even having to do their over/under. Other podcasts said they/Book deserved nothing. Hell of a season, man.
