Bug nerds 🐛 🐞 🐜 You hate testing. You'll love us. https://antithesis.com/

A large customer just found a bug without even running a test. They ran our research skill against their codebase, and sure enough... "This is like black magic," they said. The skills are free, open-source, and work outside Antithesis. github.com/antithesishq...

"Rows, Columns, and Consequences" might not be the biggest or most famous conference we've spoken at, but it's certainly got the best name. Shomik Ghose was there to talk about building Pangolin, a production database that 3 engineers shipped in just 14 months. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDV6...

How three engineers at Antithesis shipped a production database in 14 months - safely!

Should you ever build your own database? Conventional wisdom says "no"—building a reliable database is hard, and decades of engineering have gone into making general-purpose systems trustworthy. But…

We've been testing Raft implementations, and have found bugs in every implementation we've tested. Here's an in-depth report on one set of issues.

DC Systems 017 will happen on Tuesday 2026-08-11. DC Systems is an independent tech talk series focused on systems programming here in DC and the broader DMV area. We're focused on high quality talks and expert speakers. Talks about engineering, not product pitches.

We test our software with both Antithesis and Hegel. Hegel is open source and free to use, and you too should make your Hegel tests concurrent.

Bug Bash is a conference for people who care deeply about building reliable systems, where you can have the kinds of technical conversations that are hard to get from a typical conference.

Hullo London! Three (3) seats left for Rust London this Thursday, 6:30pm in Finsbury Square. Nikita Lapkov from Cloudflare on Cloudflare's ingestion layer (Rusty under the hood), and Ethan Lowman from Antithesis will talk about dogfooding on our own production DB. Fill this up! Link below.

Wrapped day one at Software Should Work. We wish more software conferences were like this, small, optimistic, focused on craft, full of heart. Some highlights: Stylish venue. Testing legend. Someone who thinks it's fun to run a company on Nix. Thanks @isaacvando.bsky.social!

We are not actually imperialistic, but we ARE "taking over" Rust London next week! Join us at in Finsbury Square at 6:30pm next Thursday, 23 July.

Maybe a new record. 1:00PM yesterday: "we'd like to start using Antithesis" 12:50AM today: "I think we might have found our first concurrency bug." 12:30PM today: "I think we figured it out and I'm working on a fix. Here's the root cause." 🏃 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

Today we’re releasing Hegel for OCaml. Hegel is a family of PBT libraries based on Hypothesis, providing powerful, ergonomic property-based testing for many different languages. Hegel lets you declare data generation inline with your test code, and provides native support for stateful testing.

DC Systems is tomorrow! Jarred Nicholls will be telling us what all engineers can learn from HFT and Samarth Kishor will be talking about static analysis as a proof tool We're almost out of room, RSVP below.

Hallo Berlin! Max in conversation at the We Are Developers World Congress tomorrow at 09:40H! So how do you get all those Claude prototypes into production?

Something's going on in Singapore. No one seems worried that Claude will take their jobs. Will was at the NUS Fuzzing Summer School last month, speaking with Dr. Leslie Teo from AI Singapore about the role of the human engineer in the age of AI. Full video below.

AWS Summit DC starts tomorrow! Here's the fuzzer beating a Kaizo ROM hack of Mario, come see it play live at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, tomorrow/weds, and ask us how it works! Sadly we can't bring the cats.
