Consuming unhealthy amounts of coffee, beer and cast iron brake dust
It is showering heavily in Amsterdam. I'll wait it out here. I have bought a coat, but still…
Lots of families on Disney trips in the lounge. My sympathies to all the forlorn looking dads that have been forced to wear Mickey Mouse ears and personalised t-shirts.
Because, of course, I get to the head of the airport lounge waiting list just as I purchase a pint in the bar next door!
Bedtime beverage, a very tart cherry sour from Trial & Ale Brewing in Canada. Cheers! #bskybeer untp.beer/44f17c17b3
Quick trip to Leeds off sitting spare, covering for a colleague that was assaulted on board an earlier service.
Day off work. I’ve drawn up a list of jobs to do, which will likely be ignored and done tomorrow instead.
@deltrems.bsky.social I’m off to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks, any bar recommendations? In de Wildeman is on the cards already…!
Good morning from Hull where, unfortunately, I am at work instead of at the SPBW wooden cask day which is where I’d much rather be.

Taking advantage of the Members Bar being open tonight. I don't normally have the pleasure of being down this end on a League night. In a few months, it'll all be demolished for the new stadium to be built.
Another pleasant evening at the Dalyer. Bohs are playing some club called Chesterfield. Apparently they're local to me, can't say I've ever heard of them!
Attenborough programme about camels on the TV at work and I'm finding it difficult to resist the urge to shout "Phwor! Look at the camel toe on that!" whilst they show close ups of them stomping along.
This fruity in The Forest seems to have decided which team it's supporting tonight
It’s really cloudy outside today. Even a bit of mist as well. Not a statement that would usually be worth making but, after a month of being cooked by the sun, I’m happy for a bit of cool off.
I have since found out that this was actually a deliberate decision, for very silly reasons, so I can no longer take the organisation seriously.
Tonight's shenanigans continue: I'm now running a train down to Nottingham and back. However, someone at control has marked both runs as cancelled and it's shown as such on every station screen and app, resulting in a usually very busy train being very quiet indeed.

Because should you centralise signal control for a region entirely in one location, it's of course not going to cause too much trouble when there's a complete power failure… Extended break now, anyway.
In a perhaps unexpected turn of events, this has happened again today.
Arrived at work to find that 78% of today’s shift has been cancelled, so I now have the pleasure of spending the afternoon sat in front of an air conditioning unit in the mess room instead.
Unusual crap used as parcel packaging…of the week! Anyway, should you require the outer box for Rainbow Six 3 for Xbox (game and headset not included), let me know before the bin gets collected tomorrow and it's yours.
Synthpop entertainment solutions with @spraypopmusic.com in Salford tonight…
First time I've been to a pub gig that has a balcony. I'm staying in the peanut gallery, btw.
And they said walking across the Ribble Estuary from Southport wasn't possible‽
On our way to Lytham! Filmed by Clare Uchima
Everybody stay calm, this is not a drill. We have a double pink elephant alarm, repeat, double pink elephant alarm.
