The LDS Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints) does not believe in Purgatory. They do believe in a post‑mortal spirit world with spirit prison and spirit paradise, but it functions very differently from Catholic purgatory. So all Christian churches have their own spin on death.

Purgatory is not a peaceful waiting room where nothing hurts. The purification is real because every trace of sin must be healed before a soul can stand in the full presence of God. Scripture says a person may be saved, “but only as through fire” (1 Corinthians 3:15). That's just bullishit 😂
