Green Party councillor Anthony Flynn has been selected by the party to run in the 2027 Assembly election in North Down. He said the “Alliance surge” of 2022 played a part in the Greens being wiped out in the Assembly, but the party was “very confident” of winning in North Down next year.

While others spread fear and division, community organisations, faith groups, churches and local residents across Belfast are providing support, accommodation and relief to families in crisis. They are the unsung heroes of our communities. Thank you.

The scenes from Belfast last night are sickening. Families being forced from their homes in racist pogroms. Children being led to safety. Public services coming under attack. Check in on your neighbours over the coming days, many will be feeling anxous and fearful.

Great to call into Ballyhackamore Library today to meet new branch manager Brendan Crossan and mark Mental Health Awareness Week. Libraries are vital community spaces that help tackle loneliness and isolation while bringing people together. These spaces matter now more than ever.

The Green Party brought forward buffer zones to stop the harassment and intimidation of women and pregnant people accessing healthcare. Nobody should be targeted outside a clinic during an already vulnerable moment in their life. The courts have upheld the law and it is working as intended.

High Court has ruled the UK Government acted unlawfully & disproportionately in proscribing Palestine Action under terrorism legislation. Terror laws must address genuine threats, not political dissent. Civil liberties & peaceful protest are core democratic protections, and Greens will defend them.

As a local Councillor, if I did something as reckless as Gordon Lyons I would be held accountable by the local government commissioner for standards, and likely suspended or disqualified from my public role. A Stormont minister though?.. absolutely nothing. 1/2

Another good showing for the Greens in the latest Lucidtalk poll, holding at 4% 💪 The shine has come off the Alliance Party, providing weak & ineffective government while people struggle to heat their homes & Lough Neagh lies as a sewer.
