watched obsession today some thoughts: the movie is more predictable than the backrooms, but rather than just the fear of the unknown, it draws on the fear of what might happen given what we know and the writing takes advantage of the predictability to establish tension

just got back from watching the backrooms movie and holy shoot it's good I do like analog horror quite a bit and i've seen the webseries so yep really liked how it captures the original premise of the backrooms (liminal space, not completely alone) rather than just ooooo spooky monster
