Marvellous! We’ve reached the self-referential post-modern stage so soon… 😎 #AccidentalArtist #aofoto #aoFotoCall Share your picture of the ordinary capturing the essence of an established artist with the hashtags above

Looking into a medical waiting room with a large window that displays a lush courtyard scene with green trees and bushes. A long couch and coffee table are in front of the window. Berkeley Heights, Union County, NJ, USA; Oct, 2026

Really enjoying doing these. This one from my 2013 Peru trip, with a heavy Lightroom nudge. #GeorgiaNO'Keeffe #AOfoto #AccidentalArtist #Scape #ArtYear #MachuPicchu #Peru #LandscapePhotography #MountainPhotography #Photography #EastCoastKin 📷 Canon EOS 5D Mark III 🔘 Canon EF 24–105mm

View across the steep green mountains surrounding Machu Picchu in Peru, with a huge blue-grey mountain face filling the background and smaller sunlit green peaks rising in the foreground. Mist clings low in the valleys, and the simplified blocks of blue and green closely echo Georgia O’Keeffe’s interpretation of the landscape.

Today's #AccidentalArtist is Mark Rothko, one of whose earlier works can be found on a wall of a partly demolished building in Colmar, Alsace. The other image below hangs in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. #aofoto #aoFotoCall #photography #art

Trickier one today. I always stop at this church for a photo break when heading into North Wales. #CharlesDemyth #AccidentalArtist #AOfoto #CharlesDemuth #ArtYear #StMargaretsChurch #Bodelwyddan #MarbleChurch #ArchitecturePhotography #Wales #Photography #EastCoastKin

St Margaret’s Church, Bodelwyddan, known as the Marble Church, with its tall Gothic tower and sharply pointed spire rising against dramatic warm-grey clouds. Pale stone walls, narrow arched windows and dark rooflines create a strong vertical composition with a slightly golden cast.

Couldn't resist another. Cheating again by using the actual subject. Barcelona 2014 #JesseNaw #JesseWaugh #AOfoto #AccidentalArtist #ArtYear #SagradaFamilia #Barcelona #StainedGlass #ArchitecturePhotography #GlassObjectThursday #EastCoastKin 📱 iPhone 5

Interior of Barcelona’s Sagrada Família, with colourful stained-glass windows glowing against dark stonework. Warm oranges, reds and yellows dominate the left, while greens, turquoise, blues and purples fill the right. Circular rose windows sit above rows of tall, narrow windows.

Conwy Suspension Bridge, North Wales, photographed in 2014. View along the bridge, with massive stone towers and pale suspension cables converging towards the centre. Deep blue shadows contrast with cream-coloured cables. Two gulls perch on opposite towers, with the river and shoreline visible beyond.

This one's a bit of a stretch, or should that be span? #Hoppeless #AOfoto #AccidentalArtist #AOFotoCall #EdwardHopper #ArtYear #TingKauBridge #HongKong #BridgePhotography #ArchitecturePhotography #TravelPhotography #Scape #EastCoastKin 📷 Canon EOS 5D 🔘 Canon EF 24–105mm

Ting Kau Bridge, Hong Kong, photographed in 2013. A long cable-stayed bridge crosses a bay beneath an overcast, misty sky. Three pale green towers support sweeping fans of cables, with wooded hills and buildings fading into the background.
