I had a great time this week coaching the DCAF Young Faces cohort for the #WesternBalkans. I took that opportunity to present my latest research in progress on "Informal Alignments in Middle-Ground #Cyber #Statecraft", with clear implications for the foreign policy of the countries in the region.

"France is looking to attribute cyber attacks" from Russia, incl. "with its partners" said its Joint Chiefs at a rare press conference today. He also highlighted Russia is deploying its full-spectrum forces in Ukraine and elsewhere, in a war that it deems existential, threatening France and Europe.

The fact that George Simion won significantly more votes (~3.8 million) than the first-round winner of the later annulled November election (back then, ~2.1 million votes) likely means that Romanian electorate did not accept the annulment lightly. In other words, the annulment was a boost.
