I'm very much calling out my own field here, psychology, more than any other field. We've largely ignored social and environmental determinants of mental health in our theories, models, prevention, and intervention efforts.
Prominent researchers in my field spent over 2 decades telling big stories about the relation between brain & mental health with very little robust data. This has led to really crazy stuff like this, impossible if we had not normalized this bizarre storytelling. www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...
A scientist says he can scan prisoners’ brains for signs of evil. Did his disputed science put a man on death row?
Kent Kiehl convinced the US legal system he can find violence in prisoners’ brains. His theories have been since used by defense lawyers – with grave consequences for prisoners

It’s a good thing software is really great these days and he can be removed easily 😬
Completely predictable
Shoutout to the Venezuela ref in this one!!!
France was so close. But come on—we deserve 30 more minutes
lol England could’ve played like this from the start if this cup
With 30 minutes left, you can't start playing defensively against a team like Argentina... that happened to the Egyptians and the Swiss, but it's unforgivable that it happened to England
This might be a hot take. But yesterday’s match was better 😬
I’m rooting for Jude Bellingham and Jude Bellingham only!
