i've never not seen a "reading of someone as a trans girl is Binary and thus Uninteresting" position as not just being blatantly misogynistic by reinforcing the idea that trans women possess no complex relationship or interiority to gender, esp. when people do not say this about cis male characters

Like. I don’t know if you’re paying attention but Trans Girl is extremely Outside the binary of Cis Man and Cis Woman. They hate us
one thing i’m still not over is how quick some (twitter) sekai fans were to make sad little headcanons about student b, an unnamed bully of mizuki’s, part of the group that outed her, because he didn’t “directly” out her. even unnamed, male characters will be given more grace than the hurt girls.
