Iran-backed Iraqi factions say they will discuss giving up their weapons only if US and Turkish troops leave, and the Kurdish Peshmerga are dissolved. But unlike the factions, the Peshmerga are constitutionally recognized as a regional force. ✍️ Farman Rashad www.theamargi.com/posts/kurdis...

Kurdish Peshmerga must give up their weapons, demand Iraqi militias

As Baghdad moves toward restricting weapons to state institutions, a PMF-aligned MP told The Amargi the goal is ‘integration,’ not dissolution. However, the debate has now expanded, with Iran-backed…

For weeks, President Trump had been laying the groundwork to declare victory in the Iran war should Tehran fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, even floating the idea privately to senior aides that he’s willing to walk away without a nuclear deal, U.S. officials said

Trump Thought Opening the Strait of Hormuz Was Imminent. Iran Had Other Plans.

Tehran’s new demands for major concessions come days after the White House had signaled a deal to clear commercial passage was within reach.

I still can’t believe that, after the disastrous outcome of relying on the U.S. in Bashur, Rojava made the same mistake and now some Kurdish groups in Rojhelat are literally begging for another future abandonment by the U.S.

It was a very wrong conclusion... its now more realistic Trump will surrender. Let's give it one or two months under this conditions. The straight is not only closed, today it was mined intensivly by IRGC utilising over 40 speedboats. Only narrow path within iranian waters open for Fees.

Saying that, i doubt Iranian regime will survive, even once they have capitulated, that will happen sooner or later, the protest movement will not back off. And i dont believe in Pahlavi or Rajavi being airlifted to take power. Change will come from within

Day after the apologize to neighboring countries, Iran escalated strikes against civilian targets. One could speculate that this reflects a loss of control, but it is also consistent with a pattern seen during negotiations: claiming being close to an agreement while not being ready for compromises

🇮🇷 Iranian President Pezeshkian: Temporary Leadership Council approved that there should be no more attacks on neighboring countries and no missile launches, unless an attack against Iran originates from those countries. I apologize to neighboring countries.

Expected that we will likely see higher energy prices in the coming months, and Russia may have just been saved from bankruptcy in 2026. However, I believe this will not last more than a few months. To expect Iran to collapse after just one week is ridiculous considering the dominance of the regime

Fuel prices are about to go vertical. The cost of transporting yourself, your food & anything else you buy, is about to spike worldwide. There’s a near-50% chance US gas prices rise to $5 USD by the end of the month. Yet Trump won in 2024 largely bc he promised lower inflation.

Netanyahu's statements confirm my suspicion that part of the US/Israel strategy in Iran is to destroy security infrastructure in the Kurdish regions so that Kurdish armed groups can take over. The trouble is that they don't seem to have actually spoken to any of the Kurdish groups about this.

Five Iranian Kurdish parties announced a coalition framework on 22 Feb 2026, aiming to unify political action and set terms for alliances in Iran’s opposition. Two other Komala-linked groups refrained, keeping key divisions in place. ✍️ Rojin Mukriyan & Kawe Fatehi theamargi.com/posts/five-i...

There are no clashed, and everything is calm. Some reports suggest withdraw of Syrian Regime troops from some contact lines, along Kurdish withdraw. A statements from Syrian Regime Propaganda Ministry, contradicting Ilham Ahmed and Mazloum Abdi was deleted later. US pressure did help.

I'm deeply suspicious of any reported agreement that involves concessions in Afrin and Serekanîye. I don't believe that the transitional government holds enough power in those areas to actually enforce the agreements.

Several killed between Syrian Joulani Jihadists vs. Foreign Joulani Jihadist. The camp is wide open, its no about escape i think. It could be that they fight over the jihadi ladies inside the camp.

#Urgent | A group of foreign elements stormed #Al-Hol camp and opened the camp to allow the exit of ISIS elements and their families, which led to violent clashes between factions of the Damascus government and foreign fighters, amid the escape of a large number of ISIS families from Al-Hol camp.

I see, Turkish–US tech axis is intact. We had that in 2018 and 2019; whenever coverage became negative for Turkey, Facebook and Twitter jumped in. Twitter, even before Musk, was a valuable tool in the hands of authoritarian regimes.

Endless footage of war crimes by new Syrian Regime here a very gruesome clip of 2 fighters from Regime Army desecrate and insult the bodies of two deceased Kurdish members of SDF. After burning the bodies, they pour Coca‑Cola over the corpses and ask are you thirsty?

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) issued a stark warning to the international community late today, asserting that the U.S. Senate has reached a "strong and growing bipartisan interest" to intervene in the "deteriorating situation in Syria," with a specific focus on protecting Kurdish allies.

Good News, besieged Kurdish fighters were evacuated from the prison in Raqqa with US and French mediation, i guess the bigger concern was the fate of the ISIS terrorists, anyway they arrived in the snowy Kobane in the morning hours. Around 1000 fighters who will strengthen the defense lines there

New footage from besieged El Aqtan Prison, Raqqa, which houses ISIS leaders and many foreigners among them. Yesterday ISIS terrorists tried to revolt, but situation is under control. However attacks by Jihadist from outside continue. I hope we can get our heros out.
