Cleared Elevator Action's 1st loop. Fun game. Play Spelunky instead.
Well, time to see if this game is actually any good or if it's another "Yeah bro, this game was too cool for America, so I had to import it" game.

America probably would've been fixed by now if The Boondocks season 5 wasn't cancelled.
Okay I have to hand it to Elevator Action for this. Watching two enemies argue amongst themselves over who gets to control the elevator is some Looney Tunes shit.
It's much easier to laugh at or feel superior to a caricature than feel with a character. For isn't the essence, the defining quality of a caricature, that it tells us how to react? It's a character with the responses built in. (1962)
For as much as the missions in Xeno X can lead to memorable moments, I can't say they do a good job of integrating the open world. Too often they just tell you which zone to go to without specific direction & so you just rely on that tracking ball. In this regard, BOTW is/was a major step up.
Having seen how every Skell controls so differently in their vehicule form, it's crazy that its Xenoblade 1 that now has a racing mini-game but not X.
God damn it Ikuhara, make another show and I'll come out of anime retirement.
Mawaru Penguindrum! The entire Penguindrum TV series from Kunihiko Ikuhara is here subbed & dubbed. Heavy video improvements over a prior release of the series. Coming in 2026!
He's studied Great Filmmaking and the manner and style of Great filmmakers; and he's tried to boil it down to its essence without making films that make dudes spend a lot of time thinking about their feelings. There is no love in his films, it is only useful as a plot device.
Far along into Xenoblade X to realize that NLA is just the Colony 6 side quest from Xenoblade 1 expanded to a larger scale.
So I'm like 15 hours into Xenoblade X DE and one of the many things that's struck me is how unnatural the platforming is (in a good way). The geometry doesn't feel handcrafted for you to jump against the side of the larger hills, making it an ambiguous obstacle where you get to test the limits of...
My mind has been so coked-up on De Palma films recently that I've come to the conclusion that the Hunter X Hunter episode that's entirely in slow-mo is the most De Palma thing not made by De Palma.
Playing Hitman and I can't stop looking at this painting and seeing the Grinch's face.
Inspired a generation? God I hope not, film is ass.
Experience the romance that inspired a generation. 💖 Makoto Shinkai’s masterful fantasy Your Name. returns to theatres for its 10th anniversary starting August 14, beautifully remastered in stunning 4K. brnw.ch/21x3AFc
I think my taste in games can best be describes by this contradiction; I enjoy open world games that use negative space for scale (Wind Waker, SOTC, Xenoblade). I will drop an action game if it makes me traverse empty levels even if the combat is good (DMC, Bayo 1, KH2). Just put me in a room FFS.
Considering the rumor for Project Legacy was that it started in 2017, this basically confirms that Genesis is the fantasy game. So presumably it will also have action combat.
Xenoblade Genesis is confirmed to be Monolith Soft's internal project, named Project Legacy www.resetera.com/threads/15...
Xenoblade Genesis looks like its gonna give me what I hoped Halo Infinite would do; ring-shaped open world.
We're all wondering what the revolutionary open world game that'll come out next to Horizon 3 will be but I think we've already seen it. It's gonna be Gen Atlas.
Reverse-Metroidvania; A Metroidvania where you begin with all the power-ups and then have to lose them to open doors. And then whichever power-ups you give up is absorbed by the enemies. By the end of the game, you have no abilities left and every enemy now has your arsenal. Please hire me.
What’s a game concept you would like to see? (not referring to IP, just mechanics) www.resetera.com/threads/15...
Ending a Showcase with Call of Duty. Damn, Asha wasn't lying, Xbox is truly back.
P5 was kind of a dud for me but my dumbass will be interested if P6 actually goes into horror vibes like the teaser suggests.
10 hours into the Marathon. Wish I could join the bandwagon of people who think this is amazing but it just doesn't feel designed for solos whatsoever (maps being too big) and the quests are boring. Not to mention all the gear bloat. After a while, I decided I'm just gonna use the pre-made kits and
Let me guess, it doesn't a parry button.
I can see the smart design and I'm glad people are getting a lot out of it! But we have lots of conversation about "difficult" vs "punishing" design and Mina seems like it's operating on a new third axis labeled "irritating"
It's always a little melancholic when you unsubscribe from a podcast that you've listened to for years. You just get to that point where you start thinking "man, these people are just so milquetoast".
To go along with this, a whole lot of the most acclaimed recent films will also be looked back negatively. Specifically the plethora of first-person pity-porn (Past Lives, Aftersun, Nickel Boys, presumably Blue Heron) will just be viewed as academicism disguised as profound art.
As someone who spends a LOT of time reading archival reviews of genre movies that are now revered as classics, I'm here to warn my critical contemporaries that your "get off my lawn" responses to the horror YouTubers and their hit movies are not going to age well
