I really don't like absolutist "fascists/racists etc can't make good art" type of arguments because plenty of incredible artists have been awful human beings, even fascists, and we can't let them hide behind their talent. Conflating talent with morality is a common but dangerous mistake.

I hate the idea that there's a meaningful distinction between "erotic/sexual art" and "pornography." just because it's porn doesn't mean it can't be important or meaningful. just because it ISN'T porn doesn't mean it's better art. it doesn't stop being art just because someone's getting off to it.
