Was talking to a young kid the other day about how I remember playing the first Super Smash Bros. as a kid in the 90s and he was so enamored and blown away at how cool that was… I guess I’m old enough to be “that guy” now. 🥴

Been writing this album for several months and just when I think I’m done, I feel like I can do better. It’s the curse of the artist. Things are never finished, you just stop working on them. I’m trying to find the line on how far to push it / myself… Driving me insane.

Production influencers are out here talking about, “do this to get a professional sound” or “I can tell a track is amateur when I hear…” I say be an amateur. Be unprofessional. Work to grow your sound and skills, but don’t be afraid to put your music out. The world needs it now more than ever.

Can’t wait till we get the first AI movie physical release when they include behind-the-scenes footage. It’s just someone typing over and over in 5 second clips trying to get the thing to look correct. It’s gonna be riveting.

People out here just typing in a prompt and getting AI vocals and meanwhile I’m dressing up my closet with blankets and a twin-sized mattress just to get a decent quality recording. Because I actually enjoy the process of putting labor into my art and then having the feeling of, “I made that.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I know they are popular, but I will never willingly release an “instrumental version” of any of my tracks that have vocals. I wrote them with vocals for a reason. To me it’s like releasing a densely-plotted film without any dialog.
