I cannot in good conscience walk past both the $12 Palladium TMNT #ttrpg from the 90s & the $60 black & red rerelease from last year, then hate on D20 Transformers. Palladium recycled their house system & added Wujcik’s Bio-E to make the game. No love for Hasbro. But, I need to be honest w/myself.

#ttrpg nerd things. I genuinely think that World of Darkness 5e made some game lines impossible. Changeling 5e would have had C20’s nightmare dice, new lore, & fewer options. Mage 5e would have either been nerfed & hated by Mage players or not nerfed & the source of anger for other WoD players.

Wizards of the Coast, child of Hasbro, is doing a great job addressing complaints & requests about their product line. If only they would address Hasbro's tendency to make the most evil, cruel, and unforgivable decisions possible. I'm watching the livestream from home. #ttrpg #gencon

Oh good. Apple just posted a trailer for their Neuromancer series. It's never a good time when corporate America gives mainstream America permission to enjoy a piece of media.

I’m surprised Christopher Nolan still has a career after demanding that audiences see Tenet in theaters during the pandemic. I still haven’t seen Tenet. I’m in no hurry to support his career by seeing The Odyssey. This is specifically a Nolan thing.

Cat aggro while playing Gran Turismo 7. Hands at 10 & 2. Back paws on my left shoulder. Front paws on my right shoulder. Fuzzy purring orange belly pressed against my face. A sweet orange cat begging for smooches. I still somehow won. He got his smooches, too.

I finally got a proper steering wheel frame for my PS5 racing rig. This is nice. It also doesn’t shake and wobble like that last setup did. Of course my first drive had to take place in that 1969 GTO.

I don’t feel good about Paramount in charge of the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. They can be extremely controlling. I worry about that big of a studio trying to put too much polish on the film. I am also hopeful that they prove me wrong.

I’ve been finding an unlikely amount of joy from In the Mouth of Madness lately. I even wore a shirt which asks, “Do you read Sutter Cane?” when taking my kid to see the Backrooms. Goodbye Sam Neill.

Right now, I can only access Bluesky on my iPad. Apple is vouching for my age on this device. Because Texas. This iPad is already my quarantine zone for other social media platforms. It’s the only device logged into them. It requires my fingerprint so that I can’t mindlessly open those other apps.

Shudder just added a bunch of horror movies based on expired copyright content. I just started watching "Bambi: the Reckoning." So far, it looks like one of the less awful movies of this type. #MutantFam

I felt horrible last night and went to bed much earlier than usual. This beautiful cat did not leave my side the entire night. He has received extra love and treats today.

An orange cat lounging near red curtains.

I'm finally listening to Replicas by Tubeway Army, beginning to end. This might be a few decades late to the party. Maybe I was just waiting until the time was right. The hype always made a little bit of sense. Now it makes a lot of sense.

It's the Friday before the 4th. The half indoor half outdoor cat friend has been successfully wrangled. He will be all indoor tonight. Helios is all indoor and will likely be clinging a little more then usual. I'm expecting some early fireworks tonight before the HUGE celebrations tomorrow.

I moved most of my Twitch / #VTuber setup to a laptop that is actually usable. (Really, the only thing "wrong" with the old one was a slow HDD.) A handful of fonts need to be reinstalled. The rest came across fairly easily. I might try to livestream some games + tarot again soon™.

Damnit. I thought it would be fun to match my shoelace colors to a personal hobby/interest then remembered that idiots are capable of ruining everything. A Google search bright bad news. Plain black it is.
