Hofstadter's law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's law. Even with AI.
🎉 #JavaScript, happy 30th birthday! Who would have thought the future would look like it does today? I've got my own share of problems with you, but then I remember that quote by Bjarne Stroustrup: “There are only two kinds of languages: the ones people complain about and the ones nobody uses”
For almost a year, Sr Software Engineer @ Buffer, Arek Panek lived inside one of the most stubborn product mysteries at Buffer: posts getting “stuck in processing.” A tiny percentage of updates that were neither sent nor errored. Just stuck. This became his North Star, & he refused to let it go!
Let me share my most precious travel hack for European cheap airlines like Ryanair or Wizzair. As a tall person (1.94m/6'4'') I always crave extra legroom seats, and I get them on most of my flights, for free. #travel #travelhacks
I love inbox 0, but I also love my newsletters, which I don't always have the time to read right when I receive them. What's your way to keep them somewhere afloat and not forget about reading them, while still clearing out your email inbox? #productivity
One of the most important aspects of a workplace for me is flexibility - I travel a lot, sometimes have to run some errands during the day, and sometimes I just feel the urge to resolve some challenging problem during the weekend. 1/3 #remote #work #remotework
TS devs, what's your preferred way to work around the lack of async constructors in classes? #typescript #javascript #coding
Bloggers, what's your CMS of choice nowadays? I was running self-hosted WordPress for many years now, but I'm a bit tired of managing the server and customizing everything - not that I can't, I just don't have time for it. #software #blog #ghost #wordpress
mikesanroman.bsky.social shared this article with us on Slack and one quote really hit me: <<“I’m sipping rocket fuel right now,” a friend tells me. “The folks on my team who aren’t embracing AI? It’s like they’re standing still.” >> - perfectly summarizes my feelings towards AI skepticism
My AI Skeptic Friends Are All Nuts
My smartest friends have bananas arguments about LLM coding.

I'm pretty good at resolving bugs, and doing that fast - attached is the graph of issues resolved for our engineering team, the spike in mid-March is me, and that last, much bigger spike on the right is also me. I surprised even myself. The secret? 1/3
We reached an incredible milestone together during our recent retreat and had the chance to celebrate in person. 🤩
Hey @bsky.app @samuel.bsky.team! Is there any way to apply for an increased rate limits on bsky.social? @buffer.com is hitting RateLimitExceeded sometimes and we get complaints from customers. I've checked it to make sure Buffer users are not spamming, and confirmed we should be ok on this front.

Hey @atproto.com @bsky.app - when do you plan do support video uploads over API? I see endpoints sort of exposed, but cannot get them to work and always get XRPCNotSupported back.

"Stan Wyjątkowy". Giertych upokorzył Tuska i dostał karę.

This is my first post on Bluesky, and the best thing is it was created using Buffer. Not that I brag about - but I coded it and it just worked, no errors (if you can see it on Bluesky); that's like a Holy Grail of API programming! PS: Adding this sweet doggo for reach (and testing image uploads!)
