@ernie.tedium.co Just out of curiosity, what was the “fa” link you created? Or how did it forward to Google News? Was it something on the localhost?

I really, really love Game Changer – it’s a fun game show where every episode is a different game. I don’t generally care for game shows, but this is so creative, so filled with great details, and so… warm? thoughtful? inclusive? It’s just good energy all around, and also laugh-out-loud funny.

@wdeb.bsky.social Quick question: Is “Product Design Psychology” written by AI? It *feels* like it, but I don’t see any disclosure.

It I were to review some video playback interfaces on Apple TV, which ones are interesting? (Good or bad.) So far I have native, YouTube, HBO Max, and Netflix.
there is a cohort of men who resent the responsibilities and obligations of adulthood — of the fact that you owe things to other people. it is a fundamentally childish impulse that they have reconfigured as the height of masculinity, and i think it informs the parasocial attraction to platner.

I know software updates can be exhausting these days. On top of regular weariness of things changing, there’s stuff like Liquid Glass, or thoughtless AI integrations. So, I’m curious: What is the recent software update, anywhere, that made you happy?
I have recently learned of this great page, which is a good summary of “things we wish we’d done differently in CSS”… wiki.csswg.org/ideas/mistak... …but it only covers low-level stuff. I wonder whether anyone wrote (or gave a talk) about more high level CSS criticism?

@arestelle.bsky.social Sorry to bother you, I saw this mention, and I’m the author of the piece. If you wouldn’t mind sharing what computer/browser you were using, that would help me! It definitely shouldn’t be getting slower over time. Thanks! bsky.app/profile/ares...
Interesting, and ironically, whatever’s going on on that page, it bogged my whole phone down gradually, causing some of the same problems it talks about, until it crashed my browser.
Here’s a new, super-interactive essay I wrote about making interactions really great for repeated use, motor memory, and so on. I just… love this kind of stuff? I don’t know. My hope is that you’ll fall in love with this, too. *a big screen very, very recommended* aresluna.org/show-your-ha...
