DID YOU KNOW that I watched ONE (1) studio-created pre-release featurette about the making of an upcoming movie and now I'm uncritically parroting their talking points from the featurette back to you my loyal audience and adding ZERO (0) context or analysis

Folks reasonably assume footage from behind-the-scenes featurettes are "truth", but it is now standard practice for studios to alter footage from "making-of" videos. (These gray screens are actually blue screens on the set of "Superman" (2025).)

Every time someone repeats the totally incorrect myth that "CGI" is cheaper than practical effects—it's not and that's a ridiculous statement—'because "CGI" isn't unionized,' they're unwittingly giving ammunition to studios who are arguing that unionization would be bad for the industry (it's not).
