Nice toasty hike to the top of Elephant Butte. (8,383mi) Air and view were pretty good. Loop around Alderfer / Three Sisters and the spur to Elephant Butte for 8.1ish miles total. One of the nearby trails that I just never got around to before. Worth doing again on a cooler day. 😅 #hiking #colorado

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

Handies Peak via East Slopes. 8 miles, 3,650ft elevation gain to 14,058ft. Really enjoyed this one and recommend it but it is a long drive. Saw some critters, got accosted by a Ptarmigan protecting it's chicks and almost ran face first into a juvenile moose. Wild times. #14ers #colorado #hiking

Square top mountain. Just across the street from Bierstadt and a little over 200ft shorter but significantly quieter. 7.25mi rt, 2,400ft of elevation gain to 13,779ft. A bit steep and loose and gravely. Weather and views were nice and saw a few critters too. Not too bad. #hiking #13ers #colorado
