Interesting study from Claudia Krautkremer, Leanne Togher, and Louise Keegan about the use of role-playing games in rehab. I've used things like Rory's Story Cubes and some other things before so nice to see some formal research validating the approach. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

Discussing how to manage aphasia to second-year students today. Students took part in a PACE activity as client/SLT to demonstrate the difficulty in communicating something as simple as their favourite movie. Can you guess the movies from these pictures?
One for next year's teaching but happy to receive an inspection copy of Gilbertson and Henson's new book. Nice to see a resource which reflects the diversity of clinical caseloads (i.e. cognitive-communication disorder, prolonged disorder of consciousness, challenging behaviour)
A new week and Caroline Bowen and Pamela Snow's new book has just arrived on my door step. One for those who have, or work with, children with additional needs. Hope it is as good as the previous Making Sense which I thoroughly enjoyed!
