It’s Ed’s turn to help Stede as they both learn more about the Bermuda Triangle and what happened to Stede’s family’s plane. Absolutely love Ed’s brilliance in this and the support from Stede’s friends πŸ₯Ή We’re going to be out of the RBB but we’re not going anywhere! Still updating post-August ❀️

Chapter 3 in now up on AO3! πŸ”— archiveofourown.org/works/903260...

More practice . This time a met-Stede, pearl diver Ed meet cute? I couldn’t decide whether to put Ed in trunks or a wet suit, or make him a mer too … so I left him nude, though I may do a version with mer Ed

Digital painting of mer Stede and Ed both diving down towards a large shell containing a large pink pearl. Their eyes have met and their outstretched hands have stopped mid swim cos obviously they’re immediately more interested in each other. Ed is exhaling bubbles.

As Ed adjusts to life in the modern era, Stede gets some shocking news that's going to change everything πŸ‘€ I don't have additional art for this one yet but there's definitely some coming in future! But the words paint a perfect picture on their own, so hop aboard and strap in for the turbulence...

Chapter 2 is now up on AO3! πŸ”— archiveofourown.org/works/903260...

Will I ever finish painting this?? Who can say!?! I eventually have to actually paint the two little fellas in the center, but I am unfortunately a person who cannot be made to finish anything. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ pretty sure it’s been sitting around in various states of completion for over a year.

Photo of painting in progress. Ed and Merstede underwater surrounded by a red silk ribbon. The silk continues wrapping around them and downward, where an image of their clasped hands appears beneath.

Bump for this chapter! It features my original prompt art for this story, just a little more polished. Air traffic controller Stede is one of a kind- fortunately for him, so is 1954 pilot Ed. If the two absolutely perfect people happen to find each other through the Bermuda Triangle…

An illustration of air traffic controller Stede, standing in front of equipment, with a DC-3 plane visible through the window. He’s holding a tablet and looking shocked. A closer view of the tablet at the bottom left shows a newspaper article from the Miami Herald, dated April 1954, that describes the disappearance of a flight over the Bermuda Triangle. It’s the same plane seen through the window. Stede wears a teal waistcoat and a frilly cravat, plus wide sleeves with lacy cuffs.
