Nothing kills my motivation more than overthinking. The goal of my fanfic is to subvert the usual tropes of the fandom while staying true to what I believe the characters to do. I adore world building and I really hope to accomplish that. The set up is so easy, it’s the in between that’s hard.
Ramblings! I’ve gotten to the point I might post my BloodyMary stuff on Tumblr too. It’ll be its own side blog but I think I’ve worked up enough confidence in my drawing and writing that having it all condensed in one blog would be nice. I’ll still primarily post here but I think I’m ready! 😤
A bit self indulgent but I wanted to mess around with my OC’s from my own original story interacting with the Ryland, Simon, and Rocky from the fanfic I’m writing. Not canon btw just having fun! I’m still flushing out my OC’s stories so nothing too spoiler-y for them!
And the trio is complete! Ryland was the hardest one of the bunch to draw but I’m content with what I managed. Simon is definitely my fave. But Ellie was a pleasant surprise for drawing her for the first time. #ProjectHailMary #IronLung #PHM

I’m a sucker for symbolism and man, you can fit so many into Simon’s character. I was so torn that I ended up just smashing three of them together: A lamb, treated like a scapegoat, forced to wear a wolf’s pelt. Also this is my favorite sketch of Simon I’ve made so far. #IronLung

Why do I keep finding myself in these situations in my writing where I go "Is this accurate enough?" and proceed to research said subject for the next few hours/days/weeks. I don't know how some writers do it. They go "and this happens" and moves on. I can't, I have to have accuracy behind it!
I think Simon deserves a spaceship of his own. Let the man be free like a leaf in the wind! I need bonding over first flight lessons to soaring next to picturesque comets. #BloodyMary #IronMary
