"Faire chabrot" or "faire chabròl" is an ancient Occitan custom (from the south of France) in which, at the end of a bowl of soup or broth, one adds red wine to dilute the remnants and drinks it directly from the plate in large gulps. It pairs well with a glass of red wine.
