Two very contrasty subject from this morning: Marsh Warbler and Bee-eater from the outskirts of my district. I love both challenge: capturing the olive-brown tone of the warbler, and the bright colours of the Bee-eaters.

A few weeks ago I found a roosting Eurasian Scops Owl in my district. It used the same branch, but this morning took some time to find it as moved to a different part of the same tree. I made a sketch. The othertwo are from last week, in completely different light conditions.

Last Friday sadly we've found a freshly killed male Red-backed Shrike on the road. I took the opportunity and made this study of it.
