Artist and graphic designer that is creatively bankrupt

I made my very FIRST CRT specific #PixelArt last night! I understood the theory behind retro pixel techniques, but it was crazy experiencing it firsthand! Here’s a thread of some of my thoughts :) 🧄👾

A photograph of a two pixel art trees displayed on a CRT monitor. Both trees boast vibrant, orange autumn leaves. The tree on the left was designed for LCD screens, while the tree on the right was designed for a CRT screen. The colours of the pixels are blended, there are no "pixel squares" in sight.A screenshot of a two pixel art trees as they'd appear on an LCD monitor. Both trees boast vibrant, orange autumn leaves. Played the Evolving Art Telephone game with some friends of mine! Every artist is supposed to "level-up" the character at their turn, which had some very cool results. 💥

It shows a fairly simple character design getting more and more complex at each stage. At the end of the diagram the character is very detail-rich and complex.
