Over the course of that Star Fox direct, I legit went through the 5 stages of grief over the character designs in rapid succession. I have now arrived at acceptance.

Calling it now: the first time Mario goes into space, he's gonna freak out because he assumes that he can't breath in space because he's from our world where you can't breath in space.

So is it safe to say at this point that the choice to go with Mario Galaxy as a second movie was motivated primarily by the intention to expand the universe? It's a convenient framing to facilitate drawing from as many different sources as possible, including other Mario games and other IPs.

Is there a list out there of songs/melodies/tunes that can be played on OoT's ocarina? Preferably one that specifies if the tune requires the analog stick.

I doodled this back in June of last year but never finished it. Now I wish I had. =P the file is called "missing babies." Now there's only one left!

I don't know that I remember a time in my life where I wasn't making art in some form. I've been drawing since I was a small child. But Sonic the Hedgehog got me into making *digital* art, specifically. Started by editing Sonic Advance sprites in MSPaint.

With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

Curiosity question: In the future (presuming you can afford it), would you be willing to pay higher prices for physical or digital products/services that are handmade/human-made over functionally equivalent products that are mass-produced or produced using AI?

I had a convo with my girlfriend about the topic of video games as art, and I'm curious: do you think all video games fall under the category of art, or does it depend on the game?

Mario Galaxy Movie prediction: Bowser Jr. will use the shooting stars of the star festival as cover to break his dad out of prison. Bowser doesn't know he exists. Initially, Bowser will be very aloof/neglect his responsibility as a father, but the two will grow close over the course of the film.

Dear Australians: does "Melbourne" rhyme with "gel burn?" I see some Americans go out of their way to pronounce it as "mel-bin" in an effort to avoid saying it as "mel-born," but it comes across as just trying to do an Australian accent for one word in a sentence.

I don't play Pokemon games, and I don't have any interest in either of these games. But Palfarm looks like somebody dropped their Pokemon toys all over somebody's backyard garden in a GTA game. Pokopia's art style is so much more appealing, despite how derivative it is.

Somebody take Splatoon away from me. For some inexplicable reason, I care what my series weapon power is on the one weapon I use, and overwhelmingly the game just causes me frustration. T_T

It's such a weird interaction when you say a thing online, somebody says "um actually," and then you calmly point out how they're mistaken and they block you. 🙃

Splatoon 3 weapon power in a nutshell: Hardest fought victory of your life? Here's a measly 2 pts. Enemy team steamrolled you? That'll be -30 pts. You're welcome.

I know it's early to be thinking about Splatoon 4, but here's one hope I have: It'd be cool if every band had their own version of Now or Never. So when a battle features music by a particular band, their version of Now or Never is used for the final minute of Turf War.

I'm flabbergasted that I was just blocked by somebody who got mad at me for voicing a concern that a game I'm interested in playing might not be able to sustain a player base. The internet is something else. 🙃

Kirby Air Riders is such a peculiar game, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it's very similar to Air Ride, so people who liked the original will probably also like this. But on the other hand, it seems to make no attempt to broaden its audience.

Drag x Drive really does a number on my shoulders, but I don't care what people say: the game is fun, and I'm apparently squarely in the niche of people it appeals to.

So I think Drag x Drive is actually a lot of fun to play. And it also has a really high skill barrier. Like... you need a lot of dexterity to be any good at this game. o_o

Idea for #Blender3D (that may already exist): a way to blend between two shape keys using a brush, a little bit like the multires eraser in sculpt mode, but that interpolates between the two shape key vertex positions.

I still have very little confidence in the Zelda movie, but at least they got the ages of the characters in the right ballpark. Link being young (and younger than Zelda) is what I would actually want
