I used to be a SpAd but to be honest it was so long ago I don’t think it counts. Recruitment bod @ www.door10.co.uk I am trying so hard to be nice on here.
I don’t know if this is the right place for this but I just stood on an upturned plug and I am really upset about it.
First Dolly Parton and now Tim Curry. I am sorry for their families loss but LinkedIn is going to be fucking unbearable tomorrow.
Tweaking your exhaust to be louder is such a courteously effective way of letting the surrounding female population know you have a small penis. Gives me hope about men’s self awareness in the era of the manosphere.
Got an email from Avanti West Coast saying my delay compensation claim was taking longer because of the sheer amount of claims they are having to deal with. They are so close to figuring this out.
One thing that is irking me a bit is that @andyburnham.bsky.social keeps going on about Makerfield, as if his landing in that constituency was somehow destiny, and it shakes his outlook. A fortnight earlier he was trying to get selected for Gorton which is a totally different kettle of fish.
Two candidate presentations and testing a freelancers work on Alva-p. Knackered.
Had someone help me with this, quite pleased with it. youtu.be/tueVblXuaKk?... #recruitment #saas

I don’t mind this heat. Which is not the same as being responsible for it.
Labour ran a really good campaign focussed on women. Who are generally more sensible than men let’s be honest.
Did you boycott Qatar? If not then no.
Should you boycott the World Cup? - The Latest
The Labour Party football team showed up for a game on an empty pitch, in an empty stadium, not another living soul for 100 miles. They lost three nil.
Alva-P: bloody hell a frustrating day, had to fix a bug that took three hours. A load of freelancers are quoting me the price of a small bungalow for routine help. Slight chink of light at the end.
Door 10: interviews with some young candidates for an interim policy position. The job market really really tough for exec and officer level at the moment. Alva-P: not much, I have a professional tester giving it the once over.
NIMBYs are humanity’s last hope. Didn’t see that one coming: youtu.be/eXXwN_TDdLU?...

Door 10: had to let down some extremely good candidates for one role and arrange interviews with some more for another. Opposite ends of the career ladder. Alva-P: account security finished. App 70% of the way there. 0 users.
Door 10: candidate registrations, Friday tradition. Spoke to a client. Emailed an old colleague to annoy them about a position. AlvaP: freelancer did an amazing job on account security. And for a treat, Itsu lunch
Door 10: feedback from a client, still work to do. Alva-P: actually worked on the sister programme Sarge-P which will go live once I have fixed billing. Also if you’re on of the small section of people who didn’t criticise the Qatar World Cup then lay off this one.
@mjfree.bsky.social I just watched Hurricane Streets for the first time. I’ve always been curious because there was a trailer for it on my (I think) Leon VHS when I was growing up. Took me ages to track it down because couldn’t remember the name. Really enjoyed it!!
Door 10: The last two days were interviews for a high paid policy position AlvaP: developed the app and hired a free lancer to build out user security. One guy told me he’s be interested in using it when his current contract expires
I accept this series is pretty boring: Door 10: the EU/UK policy job blew up and I worked all weekend reading 220 applications. I shortlisted 16 for an initial screening chat which is way too many, made a meal of it. Alva-P: still no takers which is dispiriting but I have been getting good feedback
Working on a Saturday because we had so many applications (200) for the UK/EU policy job. I read them all and honestly, people with 8 page CVs can see me after school in hell.
Door 10 - shed loads of applicants and enquiries for a great new job we are advertising. Candidate registration calls. Alva-P did a lot of backend work and sent some emails to potential clients. Did a partner update. Going slower than I would like.
Tuesday: WFH Door 10: Loads of BD getting in touch with contacts old and new to see if they need any support. Heard back from my client about candidates I submitted. Alva-P: worked on some functionality bugs
Candidate registrations some really impressive candidates across the pay scales
Door 10: membership body recruitment pack sent after last candidate cancelled call. Arranged some candidate interviews and sorted odds & Sods Alva-P: shit week but did manage to send a loom vid demonstration to a potential customer who has expressed interest.
Had a bad stomach so left early. Door 10: more candidates for the membership body role. Last one tomorrow. Also sent round a speculative CV for a candidate who’s an expert on Reform and got some interest. Drafted a t&c for a new partnership which looks exciting. P - SaaS: some bug fixes
Thought I might do a post a day about my businesses Door 10(corporate affairs recruitment) and Alva-P(SaaS) Either for a year or until I get bored. Door 10 - Spent all day interviewing candidates for a well paid media & campaign role at a respected membership body. Hardly any BD. AlvaP - zilch.
Dear @labouruk.bsky.social I don’t care for @edmilibandmp.bsky.social Please bear in mind.
