UPDATE: I am pulling out of this virtual mini-conference given how @asanews.bsky.social is shaking down members for MORE money. As universities face budget cuts, the idea that an association will add costs for members who are doing the work of providing the content is outrageous.

For anyone who thought @asanews.bsky.social was providing members with more resources through its virtual mini-conference program, think again! Apparently, even those of us who are speaking (for FREE) and are members who pay hundreds a year to ASA are being asked to pay $100 to register to speak...!
