We had visitors. Mellie was beside herself that we wouldn't let her out until they were out of sight.
New York City is one of my favorite places. These are the words at the entrance of the 9/11 memorial. The only photo I took, because this spot isn't a place to walk around with your phone out. The blue tiles were painted by survivors who painted the color they remembered the sky to be that morning.
The tornado is north east of us, but it is going to get rough here in the next little bit. Asher and Mellie are not liking this thunder.

Mellie joined me at the farmer's market, then we took Pa some sweet corn and tomatoes, and she got to say hi to Jeter. Jeter wasn't impressed. Mellie was a very good girl and just stayed calm and sat while Jeter got used to the situation.
Neither of them are big barkers, but one barks to be let outside to chase things and protect us, and one barks to come inside because they always want to be right near us. Guess who is who.

The power is out, the back up battery for the sump pump is still down from last week's storms and Dad is heading out to look for a generator. Guess everyone will be late to work today.
Mellie is away this week, practicing her training and confidence. We miss her tons,and they keep sending cute updates - always mentioning her "healthy appetite" H😂😂

Mellie is off at "be a better dog camp" The update today was great, she is catching on fast (She could sit, and shake, and meander in the leash, but not heel very well or stay) Let's just say she doesn't look impressed in the photo they sent!
Today we are thankful that Dadguy keeps a spare sump pump and knows how to change it! We are a bit waterlogged here.
