This was my one "spend too much on a single card" splurge at Magiccon. Finally getting around to putting it in my Iron Man deck.

Post-vacation, weekend reads returns! (Saturday edition) The Horror of Godzilla is awesome. I'm always down for stories that treat Godzilla as an unknowable horror. The Last Starship continues to be a standout. One of my favourite reads every month. SEVEN WIVES. Read it. It rules. Just do it.

Games aren't made by studios, they're made by people. The studio is just the logo on the side of the building. The way this industry is undervaluing, abusing, and discarding people is shameful, and it's doing damage to this medium we will never fully know. All while execs line their pockets.

Pitch a game where your player character wants to please everybody, maybe even has a need to, and must navigate the world to optimize as much as possible, perhaps being unable to fully please everybody (whether or not it is possible remains unclear)

Spent a bunch of the day hanging with @mikecarrozza.bsky.social who helped me build a new deck in time for Magiccon, then we played some Jumpstart and I got Iron Man, Bleeding Edge. Pretty good Canada Day!

I have started and deleted five versions of a post responding to the digital-only thing from Sony and I genuinely can't find the words to express my feelings. This is brutal.

I'm doing the best work of my career at Motive, I'm working on sic comics on the side, and every day I wake up as a version of myself that once felt impossible. Shit's fucked out there but ain't no one that can stop me but me. 🏳️‍⚧️ Happy Pride, dorks! 🏳️‍🌈

Had a great time at Supergirl. The stuff I wasn't sure I'd like, I ended up enjoying, and the stuff I thought I'd like, I loved. Really fun movie, can't wait to be able to double feature it with Superman at home.
