Resident Evil was a lot of fun. A big fan of the cinematography and sound design. Lots of "non brand" game shoutouts that didn't feel egregious. There were a few bits played for comedy that I thought could've been better paced but it never tried to be anything other than what it is. Great shit!!
The shrimp nonsense was from when I was google image dumpster diving with "best funny shrimp puns" as the input and the rest were passing thoughts or strange impulses. Oh and the text says "curse".

咒 (zhòu/curse) is such a cute character. It evokes a kneeling person with two mouths chanting. Apparently this character ultimately evolved from 祝 (zhù/wishing, praying) as meaningfully distinct from the act of wishing in general. And 祝 became more positive in meaning.
Finally got around to watching Incantation. I loved it!! As someone that ate with monks in a late Ming Dynasty Buddhist temple in a cave, I was always gonna adore this. A few nitpicks with pacing and character choices that I sorta giggled at but nothing so serious as to ruin the tension and mood!
