Ukrainian born US congress woman, Victoria Spartz, voted against the $61 billion Ukraine aid package, called for Ukraine to cede territory to Russia, and called for Zelensky's resignation. What a betrayal ! She has now lost her re-election bid for House seat in Indiana. Great !! #Ukraine

Role of media: Deliver reliable, pertinent info to the public. Facilitate public discourse and civic participation. Scrutinize the actions of the govt - exposing corruption, inefficiency, and abuse of power. However, a huge part of Indian media seems to scrutinize only opposition and protestors.

Russia is helping Iran with its nuclear program, military tech and intelligence. US admin, while fighting Iran over its nuclear program, is getting more and more friendly with Russia, and pressurising Ukraine to give up more land and to stop defending itself. It is stupidity and not some 4D chess.

Lavrov confirmed that Russia is returning/sending more civilian nuclear technicians to Iranian NPP Bushehr. I dare to suggest the war will be “settled” by Russia “guaranteeing” to ensure Iran “behaves””, without anyone actually controlling what’s going on. In return, US pressures Ukraine.

'When the petitioners warned that these tribunals would take years, if not decades, to resolve all the appeals, the Supreme Court judges effectively said that it was fine for excluded people to note vote in the upcoming election as long as they would eventually be put back on the rolls.'

For Time Magazine , wrote about the story of the protests that have convulsed India this week: time.com/article/2026...

Even the USSR was concerned enough about the lives of its own soldiers, that it pulled out of Afghanistan after 15,000 soviet soldiers died. Putin on the other hand, doesn't seem bothered by the death of 250,000+ Russian soldiers, and a million injured, in his expansionist war against #Ukraine !!

Today, Sep 28, is the birth anniversary of India's iconic freedom fighter Bhagat Singh He was a true warrior-philosopher, who was: - courageous and fearless, - inspiring in his leadership, - a great communicator and - was selfless who made the ultimate sacrifice for a greater cause...

Lavrov, who has been Russia's foreign minister for 22 years, gaslights with the following mind-boggling statements at the UN general assembly: - Russia is protecting Ukrainians from Ukraine's regime! - Ukraine is undermining the UN charter! - Russia continues to fight for truth and justice!

"ECI must end its method of deleting first and verifying later. The Courts' permissiveness towards an insouciant ECI has allowed dis-enfranchisement on a scale that will remain a black mark on the jurisprudence of universal adult franchise in India".

The SIR - special intensive revision - of voter rolls in India, is an extremely difficult exercise for the citizens. The bureaucrats simply delete your name from the voter list, if there is a small doubt or some procedure not followed, and make the people run pillar to post..

SIR: Less than a week left; people struggle to get corrections, inclusion done

Voters face challenges with electoral roll corrections and applications as deadline approaches, with online systems and BLO assistance failing.

After half a million Russian soldiers died, and 1 million Russian soldiers were wounded in its evil war against Ukraine, Russia is getting desperate and resorting to mysticism ! The largest empire on planet earth doesn't need more land. Putin must stop the war and stop wasting lives on both sides..

On year five of Putin's three day special military operation the Russians are resorting to bone mysticism to try and boost the performance of their ground forces.

What an amazing person, Dolly Parton ! Loved her songs like Jolene, Islands in the stream (duet) etc.. and 'I will always love you' (made more famous worldwide by Whitney Houston) Her Imagination Library has gifted over 330 million free books to children worldwide since 1995. Wow! Rest in peace 🙏

It would be wise for Dem candidates to distance themselves from the organisation called DSA. And call themselves Social Democrats. Or if they insist on using the term Democratic Socialists, at least distance from the DSA organisation, that has a questionable platform.

Decoding Fox News@decodingfoxnews.bsky.social · 3mo ago

Last week Megan Romer the National co-chair of the DSA appeared on Fox where she was interviewed by Shannon Bream. I made a montage of how many times Fox featured the clip in one day. Fox News is a propaganda machine. Any Dem should approach the network with caution.

I find it strange that the progressive candidate performs better among those who are richer and have higher education. And the moderate (corporate, status quo) candidate is doing better among lower wage earners and those with no college education.

El-Sayed is performing better in places with higher incomes and levels of education. Stevens is doing better in more working-class areas.

Lessons from this AI hedge fund fiasco: 1. Excessive debt (leverage) can kill even a great idea. 2. Tech prodigy does not necessarily make an investment expert. 3. Don't get carried away with Buzzwords and don't get greedy. 4. Cult like following of "prophets" or anyone else is not advisable.

I admire Mamdani and fully support him (not that it matters).. However, i think opening subsidized grocery stores that offer a 30% discount could potentially affect small grocers and mom & pop shops. In my opinion, the government should not compete with private businesses directly.

India budget allocation on education: Data seems to show that the central spending on education has fallen from 3.5% of the total budget in 2015 to just 2.5% in 2025. This is pitifully low, and needs to be increased significantly.

Kazakhstan is a CSTO member and has a close economic partnership with Russia. But its President Tokayev said he doesn't understand the reason for the Ukraine war and called on Putin to end the war, during a public press conference while Putin was sitting beside him. Unthinkable a few years back !

Maria Drutska@mariadrutska.bsky.social · 3mo ago

‼️ In a truly stunning moment, President Tokayev of Kazakhstan called on Putin to end his war, during a public press conference while Putin was sitting beside him. This would have been unimaginable 5 years ago. Another astonishing sign of how much Russian influence has fallen.

On a different note (from leaks and protests), NEET exam also has other issues: After 12 years of schooling, the performance in school is totally ignored and the entire career of a student is made dependent on one high pressure test. (1/2)

Not a good argument to make - that some students improved performance in the NEET retest. Obviously there will be some students who performed worse, for whatever reason, and will be angry about it..
