Frank and productive exchanges this week in Brussels at the annual 🇪🇺EU-🇺🇳UN Strategic Dialogue on Conflict Prevention and Mediation. We discussed the UN - EU relationship in peace and security and above all the implementation of the Pact for the Future. Much to do for these partners in peace! 🕊️

Brussels evening thoughts, after Day 1: one realises that months of online calls & "meetings" can't replace valued human, face to face encounters. Nuance, tic, raised eyebrow, smile, irony, consolations. Mediation is a human endeavour. So must be our interactions, quibbles w colleagues, adversaries.

📦 November 29, 2024, will be the last day NUPI is located at C.J. Hambros plass in Oslo. After over 20 years in the same location, from 2025 we will be at Rosenkrantz Gate 22, a stone's throw from Rådhusplassen.
