"Why doesn't the news ever call a lie a lie when we know it's a lie?" Will MacAvoy - The Newsroom “You’re using the word ‘journalism’ which means that there is an expectation that what they’re reading is true.” ~ Sloan Sabbith - The Newsroom
A hard situation deep into the Thai Jungle today after we got a tip off. Nobody lives here. Managed to get the first boy saved (more soon we hope) and medical care. I've never seen a dog go from scared to happy to be rescued so quick
…We need to win this Senate seat, because Elissa Slotkin deserves a partner like Abdul in the U.S. Senate.”
A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…
So are you leftists going to vote against Ossoff because a Republican endorsed him? Just like you turned on Kamala for getting an endorsement from Liz Cheney?
NEWS: Former Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has endorsed Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) for re-election Flake: “I’m still a conservative Republican. But character matters. And I want someone in that seat who takes the institution seriously and will protect the institution.”
She's been working so hard for her first week with us to get healthy. And the first weigh in went super well. 7 lbs down and she is starting to feel herself again! A long way to go but she is off and running
@admiralmpj.bsky.social In Michigan for primaries you either vote all Republican or all Democrat. A lot of Republicans knew that Rogers and John James was going win no matter what. So they crossed over and voted for Sayed because they think Sayed is the easier candidate.
This is overly simplistic and disappointing from you of all people. Consider that many Dems realize 1) people who shout "progressive" slogans may not be capable of achieving those goals. Words are cheap. 2) Dems need to win general elections. The general electorate are not the primary voters.
@admiralmpj.bsky.social If so many Bernie Sanders supporters is against Schumer. How come Bernie Sanders have voted for Schumer for leader evey time?
I’m not even black, but my “thats racist as fuck” sensor started blaring from reading that. Good luck putting that toothpaste back in the tube, TNR.
VP Harris was demonized by the left for a campaign appearance with Liz Cheney, but here’s AOC flat out meeting with anti-vax MAGAs. I tell you, there’s little difference between DSA and MAGA these days
There is pervasive corruption across our healthcare and agricultural systems that defy party lines. I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.
"Gee, Black Voters aren't voting for us. Maybe we ought to listen to their needs and priorities, and then change our platform and at least attempt to earn the trust of this very vital base of the Democratic Party." - Said No Fauxgressive Leftist ever.
Also, you know why they are putting that out there? They are going to blame Black ppl if he loses and if Stevens doesn't keep her seat OR he wins and then loses the general, which he probably will.
I won't be blaming Black folks if Stevens loses in the General. I'll be blaming AES supporters who went all "my way or the highway", and of course being all "Jew Hatey".
Absolutely. They were making asses of themselves yesterday at the Stevens event in Grand Rapids yesterday. 🙄
Let me take that back. This has been up for a while, one of three variants of the post announcing this piece. The one I replied to has been DELETED.
Following that example, here's another Sayeed supporter from YEARS ago...lest we forget: www.thedailybeast.com/michael-moor...
Michael Moore: South Carolina ‘Not Representative’ of U.S.
The Bernie-supporting filmmaker brushed off Biden’s decisive South Carolina victory, which was largely powered by African American voters.

The New Republic got ahold of itself and deleted this post, but...I still got a screen grab of it:
Tlaib. a Congresswoman from the state of Michigan refused to support the Democratic nominee for president in 2024 and pushed her community & other Arab/Muslim all across this country to vote against Harris and support DT Now this woman expect Black voters to reward her for the damage caused.HELL-NO.
You shouldn’t listen to the people who tell you not to vote. Regardless if it’s a primary or general election.
@udjg.life Mad at the Tigers. They didn't trad Andy Dirks. Horrible.

He doesn't regret it. He's just angry he was caught.
Bernie Sanders refuses to say whether he regrets endorsing Platner
